"We Struggled to pay her fees" -Mother of WASSCE 2011 Best Candidate

Mother of the 17-year-old former student of Charir International College, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Miss Christianah Opeyemi Adeloye,who was given an award recently for emerging the best candidate in Nigeria in the May/June 2011 West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) has said that it came to the family as a big surprise.

"Although she is a brilliant girl,"she said,"we did not expect that she would emerge WAEC best candidate for 2011.

"She was reportedly best among 1,540,250 million candidates nationwide that sat for the examination to achieve the feat.

"Christaianah whose mother is a teacher,said we struggled to pay her fees with family help. She is presently studying Medicine at University of Ibadan.

In the May/June 2011 WASSCE, Christianah with examination number 428011/003,reportedly made A1 in Geography, Mathematics, Economics, English, Yoruba, Agric, Biology & Physics, she scored 301 in JAMB & 74 POST UTME.

Christianah attributed her success to God's favour and focus/determination.
