Following the suspension of 65 days old Industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of the Polytechnics (ASUP) with effect from Thursday, 10th June, 2021 and the subsequent approval of the revised Academic Calendar by the Academic Board today, Friday, 11th June, 2021, I am pleased to inform the General Public and in particular, parents, staff and students of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic that all Academic Activities in the institution will resume from Tuesday, 15th June, 2021 for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
Registration exercise commences immediately. Consequently, all members of the polytechnic community and visitors alike are enjoined to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 safety protocols including but not limited to social distancing, use of face masks and regular washing of hands with sanitizers or soap. Members of the Central Committee on COVID-19 are adequately prepared to ensure the enforcement and compliance with all approved COVID-19 protocols.
