WAEC Supervisors Caught in Examination Malpractice

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has revealed that it has apprehended some supervisors in Nasarawa, Rivers, Bauchi and Kano states involved in malpractice in the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The Head of the National Office, Patrick Ehidiamen Areghan stated that the perpetrators of the act took unauthorized pictures of examination questions and sent them to selected Whatsapp platforms of their candidates.

While condemning the act, Areghan disclosed that the body was working hand in hand with the Police to detect these wrong practices and offenders would be made to face the full wrath of the law. He added that there will be no closure of examination centers as there was no evidence of cheating yet, stating that any school caught will be sanctioned.
