The need for result confirmation by candidates seeking admission into higher institutions is getting more important every academic session. WAEC Result confirmation arises because you need to confirm the authenticity of your O’level result with what is available in WAEC’s database. There are many other reasons you should confirm your WAEC result as a private candidate.
The board of West African Examination Council WAEC has announced that all private candidates confirm their O’level results. Before carrying out confirmation of your WAEC result, you must have certain documents required to process the confirmation of your result. I have provided all necessary documents and requirements according to WAEC’s standard, the documents are approved by the West African Examination Council.
Having these documents and meeting the requirements means you can go ahead and confirm your WAEC result at WAEC office.
PRIVATE CANDIDATES EXAMINATIONS DEPARTMENT – PCED REQUIREMENTS FOR CONFIRMATION OF RESULT
Letter of Attestation: This letter is to be written on a letter headed paper, stamped and signed by a Clergyman, Imam or a Court of Law.
Sworn Affidavit: This is a requirement for confirmation of your result. You must ensure it is from the court of Law and duly signed and stamped.
A photocopy of Certificate: Your WAEC certificate must be available for you to confirm your result. Please note that WAEC results from 1998 downward Result printout from WAEC website/Certificate 1999 to date.
Result Confirmation Fee (Foreigners) – You will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of N10,000.00 (Overseas) excluding Postage.
Result Confirmation Fee (Nigerian) – You will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of N5,000.00 (Locals) excluding Postage.
Approved Courier Services: Prices depends on destination or candidate use either;
- An envelope with N1,750.00 stamp (Overseas)
- An envelope with N850.00 stamp (Local)
Passport Photographs – You must attach two (2) passport photographs.
Upon meeting the above requirements, you are expected to visit WAEC headquarters at the 7th Floor WAEC building, Yaba, Lagos to start the processing.
NOTE: WHEN THE PROCESSING IS COMPLETED, AFTER SEVEN (07) DAYS OF YOUR FAILURE TO PAY FOR EXPRESS OR POSTAL SERVICES; THE COUNCIL WILL EXPLOIT ANY NECESSARY OPTION OF DELIVERY.
