The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has released results for the 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination for private candidates.
Mr. Patrick Areghan, Head of National Office, WAEC, announced this during a news conference in Lagos State, on Monday 15 February 2021.
According to Areghan, a total of 66,375 candidates registered for the examination which took place between Monday, November 23rd, 2020, and Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020.
A total of 61,111 candidates, representing 99.35% have their results fully processed and released while 398 candidates representing 0.65% have a few of their results still being processed due to errors on the part of candidates.
Candidates who sat for the examination can check the details of their performance on the council’s results website at https://www.waecdirect.org/
How to check your WAEC results:
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
(This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789) - Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2020
- Select the Type of Examination
- Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
- Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
