The West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) is one of the World Bank’s African Centres of Excellence (ACE) at the University of Ghana, led by faculty from the Department of Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology (BCMB) and the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) at the University of Ghana.

Aim and Benefits of WACCBIP Biotech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme
- Up to $5,000.00 seed funding for at least 3 incubator start-ups
- Exploration of collaborative funding with partners like the Resolution Project
- Upon completion of the five day bootcamp, participants will be awarded prestigious Certificate in the Essentials of Biotech Entrepreneurship jointly awarded by WACCBIP, UGBS Innovation Hub, and IAST.
Requirements for WACCBIP Biotech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme Qualification
- WACCBIP fellow, interns, students and alumni
- Young biological scientists and trainees
- Biomedical scientists and individuals passionate about developing biotech start-ups.
Interview date, Process and Venue for WACCBIP Biotech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme
Duration: Five (5) days intensive bootcamp, and a two (2) month incubation and mentorship programme at the University of Ghana.
