Villanova Polytechnic Post-UTME 2022: cut-off mark, eligibility and registration details

Applications for Screening of Credentials are hereby requested from interested applicants who wrote the 2022/2023 UTME and chose Villanova Polytechnic Imesi Ile, Osun State or are willing to change to the Institution as 1st choice.  

(A) ELIGIBILITY

(i) All applicants who chose Villanova Polytechnic Imesi Ile, Osun State and obtained a Minimum Acceptable Mark (MAM) of 100 in the 2022/2023 UTME. In addition to the above, applicants must possess five (5) O’ level subject requirements at Credit level in not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB.

(ii) Applicants should carefully consider the O’Level requirements of the department they wish to apply for. Information of the O’Level requirements can be found on the 2022/2023 Admission Application Page.

(iii) Applicants who scored 100 and above in the last UTME but did not choose Villanova Polytechnic Imesi Ile, Osun State as 1st choice Institution and are interested in changing to the Institution can do so.

1.1 SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDIES a) Accountancy The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Accountancy are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1. English Language; (Literature-in-English and Oral English are not acceptable in place of English Language);
2. Mathematics;
3. Any one (1) of the following:
Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Book keeping;
4. Plus any other two (2) of the following:
Geography, Government/Civic Education, Agric. Science/ Animal Husbandry/Biology/Chemistry/Physics, Data Processing/ICT/Computer Studies, Insurance, Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Book keeping, Entrepreneurship Education.

UTME Subject Requirements:

- English Language;
- Mathematics;
- Any two (2) from Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts, Economics.

    b) Business Administration and Management The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration and Management are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1 English Language;
2. Mathematics;
3 Any one (1) of the following:
Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Book keeping;
4 Plus any other two (2) of the following:
Biology/Agric. Sc./Physics/Animal Husbandry/Chemistry, ICT/Data Processing/Computer Studies, History/Government/Civic Education, Geography, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Book Keeping, Literature-in-English, Business Method/Business Studies/Office Practice, Store Keeping/Store Management, Entrepreneurship Education, Social Studies, Insurance

    c) Marketing The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Marketing are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1 English Language;
2 Mathematics;
3 Any one (1) of the following:
Economics/Commerce or Principles of Accounts/Book keeping;
4 Plus any other two (2) of the following: Biology/Agric.     d) Mass Communication The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Mass Communication are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/ NECO/GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1. English;
2. Mathematics;
3. Literature in English;
4. Plus any other two (2) of the following:
Government/Civic Education/History, Economics/Commerce, Biology/Agric. Science/Animal Husbandry/Physics /Chemistry, CRS/IRS, Entrepreneurship Education and a Nigerian Language.

UTME Subject Requirements:

- English Language;
- Literature-in -English;
- Any two (2) from Geography, Commerce, Government/History, Maths, Principles of Accounts, Economics, CRS/IRS.

1.2 SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING a) Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/GCE O’level /SSCE/NABTEB- National Technical Certificate (NTC) Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1 English;
2 Mathematics;
3 Physics;
4 Chemistry;
5 Plus any one (1) of the following:
Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Works, Computer Studies/ICT/Data Processing, Radio/Television & Electrical Works, Instrument Mechanics, Appliances Maintenance and Repairs, Basic Electronics/Electricity, Biology.

NOTE: Only NABTEB National Technical Certificate (NTC) would be accepted for admission and not NABTEB National Business Certificate (NBC)

1.3 SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND COMPUTER STUDIES a) Computer Science The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/ GCE O’level/SSCE/ NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1. English;
2. Mathematics;
3. Physics;
4. Plus any two (2) of the following:
Chemistry, Agricultural Science/Biology/Animal Husbandry/Food & Nutrition, Statistics, Economics /Commerce, Technical Drawing. Additional/Further Mathematics, Geography, ICT/Computer Studies/Data Processing, Fine Arts.

UTME Subject Requirements:

- English Language;
- Mathematics;
- Physics;
- And any one (1) from Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Statistics, Economics, Geography, Computer Studies/ICT/Data Processing.

    b) Hospitality Technology The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Hospitality Technology are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/ GCE O’level/ SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subjects must include:

1. English Language;
2. Mathematics;
3. Chemistry;
4. Physics;
5. Plus any one (1) of the following:
Biology, Food & Nutrition, Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry.

- Chemistry;
- Biology.

    c) Science Laboratory Technology The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Science Technology are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/NECO/ GCE O’level/ SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.
(SSCE)/NABTEB.

The subjects must include:

1. Mathematics;
2. English ;
3. Chemistry;
4. Physics;
5. Plus any one (1) of the following:
Biology/Agricultural Science.

(B)       ADMISSION FORM GUIDELINES 

             Application Form

(i)       Applicants should visit The Polytechnic Website www.villanovapolytechnic.edu.ng to initate their application.

(ii)      Applicant can initiate their application using their JAMB Registration Number (if available) or clicking on fresh application

(iii)     Applicants can also make payment with their debit card (Master Card, Visa Card and Verve Card) following the instructions on the invoice generation page. (Note: before payment with debit card, print your Invoice

(iv)     After completion of application form, applicants are to pay the Application fee of 5000 naira only through the online payment system (NOTE: Payment should only be made through the specified accounts)

(v)      Applicants are advised to carefully read through their forms before submission.

(vi)     Applicants should endeavour to print their acknowledgement slip and screening forms.
