Veritas University debunks rumours on attack threat

The attention of Veritas university Abuja has been drawn to some media publications inferring that the school has received threats of possible attacks by criminal elements.

These reports are not true. Veritas University Abuja has not received any threats of attacks, either verbally or in writing from any Bandit or quarters.

However, following the Senate meeting held on Thursday, 29th April 2021, the Senate approved a 2- week Mid Semester break for the students of Veritas University. As a result, all students were directed to vacate the University on 30th Friday, 2021 (after the matriculation ceremony) and to resume on Friday, 14th May 2021. On the sight Lectures will begin on Monday, 17th May 2021.

This shows that academic activities in the school are not disrupted as teaching and learning are continuing through existing online platforms which were first tested and used effectively during the 2020 COVID pandemic shut down.

As a Faith-based institution, we believe that God will see our country through this trying period.

Signed:

Rev. Fr (Dr). Valentine O. Onwunjiogu
