The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi in a special meeting of Senate has announced the latest academic promotions to the status of Professors and Associate Professors in the institution.
Those who were promoted to full Professor status according to the Vice-Chancellor include Dr Etim Okon of the Department of History/International Studies, Dr Essien Oku of the Department of Biochemistry and Dr Idaka Idaka of the Department of Educational Foundations.
While the list of Associate Professors includes Dr Genevive Aglazor of Curriculum and Teaching, Dr Robert Nwanguma of Architecture and Dr Stanislaus Iyorza of the Department of Mass Communication and Digital Media Studies.
