Varsity Suspends 400l Student For Protesting

A 400 level student Of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ewetola Abdulramon, has been reportedly suspended for leading a peaceful protest.

The student who is the National President of the Nigeria University of Education Students Association (NUESA), from the Department of Agricultural Economics TASUED, was suspended indefinitely.

According to reports, the student noted that school activities were not interrupted and no property of the school was damaged during the peaceful protest.

According to the student, the school management held an emergency meeting as a result of the protest, he added that they also threatened not to graduate him alongside with his executives.

He Lamented that the students are being extorted and the rate of extortion is too high, he said the newly admitted students into undergraduate programmes pay (an) acceptance fee of 40,000, tuition fees of 76,500 and additional tax clearance of 10,000.

He therefore pleaded with the federal government to intervene in his case.
