Adwoa Agyarkwa, an 18-year-old varsity student has hanged herself with a rope inside her room in the hostel after failing one of her courses in school.
Agyarkwa is reported to be the daughter of a politician, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, an NPP Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem central constituency in Ghana.
Before her death, she was a first year Chemical Engineering student, at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
She was found dead on Friday morning in her hostel room with a rope hanging around her neck.
Although, the reasons behind are shocking action is yet to be fully revealed, her classmates explained that what must have led to the suicide was because she failed one of her courses and couldn’t bear the shame.
