UTME 2012: 1.5 Million Candidates Will Battle for 500,000 Spaces

It has now been officially reported that not less than 1.5 million candidates will be competing for 500,000 on 24th March, 2012 as the UTME exam is expected to commence by 8am.

Ojerinde, who spoke at a press briefing said that exactly 1,503,931 candidates applied to write 2012 UTME in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin, London, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. The figure grew by 10,338 as compared to last year's figures.

3,001 centres across the country have been officially mapped out for the exam, a figure which increased by 129 as compared to last year.

The Jamb registrar also did not fail to point out that 500,000 admission slots are now available in the country as compared to 467,000 capacity of last year.
