USCOEGA notice to students on cancellation of some registration fees

Sequel to the meeting of the College Management held on Tuesday, 11th January, 2022, I hereby write to inform all staff and students that the College Management has cancelled some unnecessary and inappropriate collection of funds from students during registration as follows:

(A) N.C.E

All collections of funds from students after payment of tuition fees are hereby cancelled except Departmental collections of N300:00k to be done in the Office of Deans of Schools; and the amount to be paid for students' union dues (SUG/NUYOSS/MSSN/CHAPEL) is N1,000:00k only at the Bursary Department.

(B) DIPLOMA

All collections of funds from students after payment of tuition fees are hereby cancelled except Signing of Departmental Forms which attracts the payments of N1,000:00k to be paid at Micro-Finance Bank (HURDEC) Account.

All payments for Students' Union dues (SUG/NUYOSS/MSSN/CHAPEL) is N1,000:00k in the Accountant's Office.

(C) DEGREE

All collections of funds from students' after payment of tuition fees are hereby cancelled except Departmental collections which is to be paid in the coordinators Office. The Departmental collections will now be N300:00k and Departmental processing fee is N1,000:00k which is to be paid at Micro-Finance Bank, Gashua (Degree Account).

In the same vein, all payments for Students' Union dues (N1,000:00k) (SUG/NUYOSS/CHAPEL) and final year students' Project fee (N2,000:00k) should be done in the (Degree) Accountant's Office.

Considering the fact that the economic situation in the Country is biting, the College Management decided to split the payments of Registration Fees for HURDEC and Degree Programmes into two. However, such payments remains optional, depending on whether or not a student is buoyant to pay in full.

In addition, Sales of Handout to students' should be stopped.

It is pertinent to note that any erring staff found wanting of collection of unauthorized funds will face a serious disciplinary action in accordance with the College rules and regulations.

This directive must be strictly adhered to, please.
