The student has now been found dead in Odesa Oblast, Ukraine. According to reports, he was found dead on Saturday, September 12, and the case is currently being investigated as an accident.

Caleb was reported missing after he was invited to a party on a boat by Vera Topalova, owner of a BDSM-themed bar in Odesa. While at the party, he reportedly went on a boat ride with about 10 passengers but didn't return with them, only his personal belongings including a mobile phone, were given to his friend without any explanation as to what had happened.

Caleb's disappearance led to a social media outcry seeking justice and a protest was held near the Nigerian Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv on Aug 31.
