The 400-level student of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Olayinka Toyinbo, who was abducted by suspected kidnappers, has regained freedom.
Olayinka was abducted on Saturday, May 22, from a private Farm in Abule Itoko, a village in Odeda Local Government along with the farm owner simply identified as Dominic, and a 17-year-old Togolese lady, where he had been working and living for the past three years. Read here.
FUNAAB’s Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Kola Adepoju, who confirmed the development in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday, May 25, said Toyinbo was released by his abductors on Monday night unharmed.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who also confirmed the development said Toyinbo and others had been reunited with their families.
