Update; Abia state government gives into ABSU students' demands

The Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has given in to the demands of Abia state university students, on the deduction of the state government proposed payment of N30,000 stipends from their school fees.

The governor gave the directives via a tweet shared on his official page, on Sunday, November 15, instructing the university management to deduct the N30,000 pocket money from the tuition of ABSU students, of Abia origin.

The statement reads;

I’ve directed the management of Abia State University, Uturu, to deduct the N30,000 pocket money for students of Abia origin from their school fees as widely requested by the students. We'll continue to listen & do whatever is necessary to ensure our high flying students excel.
