POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME IN MOLECULAR MEDICINE
A) Entry requirements for the M.Sc Molecular Medicine:
All candidates must fulfil the university minimum requirements as stipulated by the University programmes and the University.
Candidates with MB.BS from recognized university
B) Entry requirements for the PhD Molecular Medicine:
All candidates must fulfil the university minimum requirements as stipulated by the University programmes and the University.
Candidates with MB.BS from recognized university
All candidates must have passed the Part 2 fellowship examination in relevant discipline or its equivalents from recognized postgraduate medical colleges or Graduates from approved universities who have obtained the degree of M.Sc in Molecular Medicine with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5.0 or 60% and project score not lower than 60%.
C) Entry requirements for the MD Molecular Medicine:
All candidates must fulfil the university minimum requirements as stipulated by the University programmes and the University.
Candidates with MB.BS from recognized university
All candidates must have passed the Part 2 fellowship examination in relevant discipline or its equivalents from recognized postgraduate medical colleges.
A candidate who holds recognized postgraduate medical qualifications in clinical medicine with five published articles on molecular medicine in impact factor (TR) journals, as first author.
Minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in the field of molecular medicine is an advantage.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES & VACCINOLOGY
A) Entry requirements for the M.Sc Infectious Diseases & Vaccinology:
All candidates must fulfil the university minimum requirements as stipulated by the University programmes and the University.

B) Entry requirements for the PhD Infectious Diseases & Vaccinology:
All candidates must fulfill the university minimum requirements as stipulated by the University programmes and the University.
Candidates with MB.BS from recognized university

REGISTRATION
For Regular/Sandwich programme, Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s and Doctorate degree programmes, candidates are considered for admission once in a session. Regular students are expected to register their postgraduate courses within four weeks from the commencement of the session. Candidates admitted for sandwich programmes are expected to register not later than two weeks from the commencement of the sandwich session.
How To Apply For UNN Postgraduate Admission Form
UNN PG application Forms can be obtained ONLINE on payment of a non-refundable fee of twenty six thousand, seven hundred naira only (N26,700.00) payable to “The University of Nigeria Postgraduate Application Fees Account, at any bank within the country using the Remita platform.
To apply for UNN postgraduate form for 2024/2025 academic session, please follow the outlined steps below:
Step 1 – Login to the UNN Portal- unnportal.unn.edu.ng
Step 2 – Go to postgraduate students
Step 3 – Select PG form for (2024/2025)
Step 4 – Enter your telephone number.
Step 5 – Fill in your basic details.
Step 6 – Generate Invoice with RRR.
Step 7 – Make payments using the online channel or at the bank.
Step 8 – Go back to online form.
Step 9 – Fill the PG online application form and upload all necessary credentials in PDF.
Step 10 – Complete referee form. (Enter correct Emails).
Step 11 – Cross check all information provided
Step 12 – Click on the Submit Button to submit the form.
Please note that with the exception of the transcript, you are not expected to submit hard copies of application materials to the school of Postgraduate Studies.
REFEREE REPORTS
Candidates should download three (3) copies of the referee report (D1) forms after completing preliminary and personal details online. Some details on the form would be inserted automatically with the information provided by the candidate online while the remaining information should be completed by the referee manually and returned to the candidate who will enclose it in sealed envelope for submission. Please note that applications would not be processed unless the referees’ reports are available.
TRANSCRIPTS
Candidates should download transcript request forms (D2) also provided online, and submit to their former Universities/Institutions to forward their academic transcript(s) to “The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka” to reach him/her not later than two weeks of this publication. Candidates whose transcripts are not received on or before the deadline by the School shall not have their application forms processed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All information required would be completed online except the transcript. Copies of qualifying certificates/statement of result and NYSC discharge certificate (Exemption or Exclusion Certificate) are to be attached. Note that To Whom It May Concern shall not be accepted in lieu of the certificates specified above.

NOTE: For Ph.D degree programme, a candidate must have published at least an article from his/her Ph.D Thesis or obtained an acceptance letter from a journal certified by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as a condition for graduation.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS
Most information required would be completed online. However, a copy of the online completed application form should be downloaded and printed. The printed application form with the relevant documents as listed below should be posted or delivered to:

Candidates are advised to ensure that the following documents are enclosed in the file:
(a) NYSC Certificates (Discharge or Exemption or exclusion Certificate). Note that To Whom It May Concern shall not be accepted.
(b) Two copies of the Application summary form (D3) available online should be downloaded & printed:
- One copy of the printed summary form (D3) should be glued very neatly (NOT STAPLED) on a brown 10” X 15” envelope;
- The second copy of the printed summary form (D3) should be glued very neatly (NOT STAPLED) on a white 9” X 13” file Jacket;
(c) All accompanying documents should be placed in the file Jacket, specified in (c.ii) and the File Jacket should be placed in brown envelope as specified in (c.i.) above.
All documents must fit into the 10” X 15” envelope and delivered or addressed and sent by courier to “The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka”.
