There is a general misconception candidates have with regards to UNN JAMB cut off marks and we are about to address the issue once and for all. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is responsible for setting cut off marks for all universities, polytechnics and Colleges of Education and not the institution in question (UNN) in this case.

Secondly, there is what is referred to as general cut off mark and this figure varies from one school to another, this cut off mark is usually the fixed figure every candidate that participated in the UTME must score up to in order to be eligible for internal screening exercise. There are some candidates who are lucky enough to have a connection inside UNN admission office who can influence your admission into the university, take note, such person would usually ask if you passed UNN JAMB cut mark which is 160 before they would offer to lend any form of assistance

Also note that candidates who do not make up to this score automatically losses out on admission for the session and please note that any individual who says he or she can influence your admission when you do not meet the cut off mark is a scam and if you eventually gain admission, you will be kicked out by UNN in your 300 level or final year, trust me you do not want to go through such trauma.
