This is to inform the general public that the Management of the University of Mkar has announced the re-opening and resumption of academic activities. See announcement below:
The Senate of the University of Mkar, Mkar upon receiving directives for safe re-opening of imitative from the National Universities Commision (NUC) and the Government met on October 06 2020 in her 138th Emergency Senate Meeting and directed the re-opening of the University which was locked down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic
Resumption of students for academic activities is as follows:
(a) Post Graduate, CCE and MBA Students-Monday, October 12, 2020
(b) Undergraduate Students - Monday, October 26, 2020
Students are hereby advised to strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety measures, which include wearing of face masks, washing of hands regularly, and personal possession and regular use of hand sanitizers
Students would be required to show their face masks and hand sanitizer or be required to buy at the gate before entry.
All persons either coming into the campus or working in the University or both, would, in turn, be expected to allow their body temperature to be assessed by the Security Officers at the gate.
