As schools resume in the United States amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the number of cases has been on the rise. One is the University of Alabama who recorded 531 Coronavirus cases on campus since starting classes on August 19.

The university with more than 38,000 registered students, recorded the new cases after on-campus testing and self-reported private lab results came in positive.

The University President, Stuart Bell, called the rise in COVID-19 “unacceptable” since the school has guidelines in place to avoid gatherings such as parties.
