UNIUYO Produces 32 First Class Graduates

Thirty-two (32) graduating students of the University of Uyo, are to receive first class awards during the 24th convocation of the University, coming up this Saturday, November 3, 2018.

This was revealed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Enefiok Essien, SAN at a Media Parley,as part of the activities for the forthcoming 24th Convocation of the University of Uyo.

According to the VC, a total of 4,539 graduands will be convoking, including 3,678 Bachelor degrees, 631 postgraduates degrees and 230 sub-degrees.

The Institution’s helmsman also announced that the late Irish Catholic Missionary and gynaecologist, Ann Ward, who established the VVF Hospital in Uyo, is to receive honorary doctorate degree at the event, taking place at Nwaniba, the main campus of the institution.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the visitor to the University and the Irish Ambassador to Nigeria are among personalities expected at the convocation.

The Vice Chancellor used the occasion to invite the graduands,their families and all lovers of the university to attend the event which will commence at 10 o’clock in the morning.
