The attention of the University of Uyo Management has been drawn to a fake employment notification currently circulating on social media and other online platforms, purportedly claiming that the University of Uyo is seeking application from candidates to fill available vacant positions in the University for teaching and non-teaching positions.
For the sake of clarity especially for the innocent job seekers who may likely fall prey to this dubious information by an inappropriate person, the University of Uyo wishes to state clearly that:
1. Currently there is no employment advertisement from the Management of the University of Uyo as claimed by the vendor of the dubious information.
2. The Registrar of the University, Mr. Aniediabasi Udofia, has not endorsed or authorized any press release requesting for employment application from candidates for teaching and non- teaching positions in the University.
3. The University has not organized any employment meeting or paid any media agent to publicize information regarding vacancy in the University
Finally, the University of Uyo wishes to further advise the general public to ignore any information regarding existing employment vacancies in the University, as it does not emanate from the University's authority.
Please be guided!
