This is to inform the general public that the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is inviting the members of the public to her 2013/2014 academic session one year non-residential basic studies programme.
The Basic Studies programme is designed to prepare students for the consortium of Ukrainian Universities or the Interim Joint Matriculation Board examination (IJMB). Holders of the IJMB certificate would subsequently be admitted into the 200 level of the degree offered by the University of Uyo through Direct Entry Jamb on the courses listed below:

CONSORTIUM OF UKRAINAN UNIVERSITIES
Courses available in the Consortium of Ukrainian Universities are:
Medicine & Surgery, Pharmacy, Aerospace Engineering, Computer and Software Engineering, Oil & Gas and Management.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates seeking admission into the Basic Studies programme must possess credit passes in at least five (5) subjects, including: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Economics, Literature in English and Government at not more than two sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or equivalent qualification. They must also have taken the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). At the end of the programme, successful candidates of the IJMB examination will be admitted into 200 levels in various degree courses in the University of Uyo provided they satisfy the admission criteria for such courses.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates will be required to pay the sum of ₦500.00 (five hundred naira) for Pin Code and ₦15,000.00 (fifteen thousand naira) only as administrative charge, and obtain a computer-based Transaction Receipt and Pin Code in any branch of the following banks nationwide: FBN, Wema, Skye, UNIUYO MFB.
With the Pin Code, candidates should access and complete the University of Uyo, 2013/2014 Pr-Degree Screening Test Form online at http://www.uniuyo.edu.ng.
From the students E-portals Solution Menu applying the following steps:
(1) Click on Basic Studies Portal Link.
(2) Log in UTME registration Number and Pin Code.
(3) Fill the Basic Studies form and upload a recent passport size photograph (Scanned) with red background Note
The same passport used for the online registration will be used during the Screening Test and for registration after offer of admission.
No complaint of wrong Bio-data or blank picture will be entertained after submission Candidates who upload wrong Bio-Data will be automatically disqualified.
VENUE: The screening test will take place at the CBN Auditorium, University of Uyo (Town Campus) on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 8.00am.
Candidates are required to come for the screening exercise with the following:
(i) A copy of the Basic Studies Programme ON-LINE form duly completed, with the scanned passport size photograph.
(ii) Two (2) recent passport size photographs (with a red background) with the same name and signature of the candidate on the reverse side. (iii) HB pencil, eraser an sharpener. No GSM handsets, calculators or any extraneous materials should be brought into the screening hall.
