UNIPORT Students In Massive Protest Over Hike In School Fees

Students of uniport have completely blocked the major road leading to inter states popularly known as east west road over high rise in school fees.

The school management have imployed a new method which means that if students don't pay there fees they would be forced to repeat a whole section

Exams which is billed to start today have been put to a stand still due to the on going protest

Earlier this session, the school management placed a deadline for school fees payment and are now trying to enforce it before the exams.

saying people that haven't paid will not sit for the first semester of 2015/2016 session.

Students have been agitating for this protest because

it is believed that no other federal university pays as much as Uniport.

The protest began this morning and

has taken a big effect in academic activities.

About six students have so far been injured as University of Port Harcourt students clashed with police officers who came to disperse the protesters.

No death has been recorded as at the time of filing this report
