UNIPORT Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements
a) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score at least 150 and above in the 2024 UTME and must have selected University of Port Harcourt – UNIPORT as their first choice of Institution in their 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration exercise.
b) Candidates who did not choose University of Port Harcourt – UNIPORT as their first choice institution, but wish to study in the institution are ELIGIBLE to apply for UNIPORT Post UTME on the grounds that such candidate(s) must have successfully completed a change of Institution and course to UNIPORT on the JAMB Portal before the closing date.
c) Please note that candidates that selected UNIPORT as their 2nd choice of institution during the 2024 UTME registration are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the form.
d) Candidates with AWAITING RESULTS despite choosing UNIPORT as their 1st choice of institution during the 2024 UTME registration or changed their institution and course to UNIPORT are also NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for UNIPORT post UTME form online.
e) O’Level Requirements: Both UTME and DE candidates applying for University of Port Harcourt are expected to have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes in Mathematics, English language, and three (3) other subjects relevant to your course of study that was registered in your UTME.
How To Apply For UNIPORT Post UTME Screening Form
Please note that before starting your application, you need to have an active email address. This is needed for receiving information from UNIPORT as regards the progress of your application form.
STEP 1: Candidates should visit the University website www.uniport.edu.ng and adhere strictly to the Registration Procedure.
STEP 2: Candidates are to input their JAMB Registration Numbers and confirm pre-loaded JAMB details.
STEP 3: Generate Remita Code for payment with your Master, Visa or Verve Card, etc. OR Print out Payment Slip and Proceed to any of the following Banks with Remita Platform (ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, FCMB, UBA PLC, AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK) and make a payment of N2,000.00 only.
STEP 4: Obtain a Remita Receipt showing an Access Code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment.
STEP 5: Proceed online again and login with your JAMB Registration Numbers and the Access Code on the Payment Slip.
STEP 6: Complete the Form online as requested.
STEP 7: Proceed to the Admissions Office to submit the documents:
- Photocopy of JAMB Slip
- Birth Certificate/Age Declaration
- O’Level Examination Results (WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB)
- A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree Results, showing CGPA as applicable.
Alternatively, the requested documents can be mailed by courier to: The Admissions Officer, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, P.M.B. 5323, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
NOTE:
- Inconsistency in name is not acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates.
Candidates’ names on their O’Level and A’Level Results, JAMB Result Slips and other registration documents must be the same.
Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age or above by October 2023, to be eligible for the Admission.
Candidates must apply within the Registration period as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at MIDNIGHT ON MONDAY, 31ST JULY, 2023.
Candidates must ensure that they register with their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses.
Registration is online, therefore candidates are not expected to be present physically on the University Campus but advised to register from any location.

Candidates who chose the University of Port Harcourt for Direct Entry Admission are hereby requested to apply for screening by logging in to the University website www.uniport.edu.ng and complete a Form online, to provide information on:
- Name
- Course
- Qualifying Examination(s) for Direct Entry Admission
- Results obtained from Qualifying Examinations (O’level, and A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB and Degree), showing the pass level and points.

The closing date for submission of all post UTME and DE forms has been extended to August 14th 2024. Please be informed that there shall be no extension for submission of application forms after the deadline.
UNIPORT Post UTME Screening Documents
The school authority has directed that candidates come to the exam hall with the following:
- A clear copy of the Photo Card printed online and pen.
- A photocopy of O’Level Examination Certificate(s) (WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB) and Birth Certificate or Affidavit of Age Declaration.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.
- Candidates must be at least sixteen (16) years of age by October, 2024 to be eligible for the exercise.
- Candidates must report to the designated Screening Venues at the time scheduled on the Photo Card or risk disqualification.
- PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, AS WELL AS UNINVITED SECURITY AGENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE CAMPUS ON THE DAYS OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE.
