Uniport O’Level Requirements for Arts, Social Sciences and Administration

Uniport Admission Requirements for Arts Students

Prospective students must obtain at least 5 Credits which includes Mathematics, English, Literature in English, Government, Economics and Biology either in WAEC (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council) in not more than 2 sittings though can be combined, that is, WAEC and NECO but must not be more than 2 years .

O’Level Requirements for Social Science/Administration Students

Please note that administration students here include the following;

Accounting

Economics or Economics and statistics (This depends on the institution in question)

Banking and Finance

Business Administration

Marketing

Prospective students are required to obtain a minimum of 5 Credits in Mathematics, English, Economics, Accounting and Biology, either in WAEC (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council) in not more than 2 sittings and please note that WAEC and NECO results can both be combined for admission process but must not be more than 2 years apart to be eligible for admission.

The candidate must make at least 200 pass mark in JAMB though some universities fix their cutoff mark at 180 to qualify for internal screening(Verifying all your documents and JAMB score to see if it meets the requirements for the course you wish to be admitted for) by the school authority.

O’Level Requirements for Sciences and Engineering Courses

Candidates must make the following results in their O’Level to be qualified for admission;

At least 5 Credits in Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Technical drawing (Engineering Students) either in WAEC (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council) in not more than 2 sittings and can be combined, that is, WAEC and NECO but must not be more than 2 years apart.

The candidate must make at least 200 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening (Verifying all your documents and JAMB score to see if it meets the requirements for the course you wish to be admitted for) by the University of Port-harcourt.

So with the above instructions, prospective candidates should be clear as regards the admission requirements for courses offered in UNIPORT. However if you do not meet the requirements, you could opt for UNIPORT part time programme as this does not require JAMB. All that is required is that you have your complete O’level result and purchase the form when it is out on sale.
