The University of Port Harcourt’s Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering (CITE) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its range of postgraduate programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year. CITE, established by the Senate of the University of Port Harcourt on 29 January 2014, provides a pioneering University-Industry collaborative postgraduate experience, designed to produce highly skilled professionals in ICT, Automation, and Telecommunications.

Admission Requirements
- For PGD: A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Third Class Honours or HND with Upper Credit in Engineering or related fields is required.
- For M.Sc Programmes: A Bachelor’s Degree with at least a 2.50 CGPA on a 5.00 scale in relevant fields. Candidates with a PGD and IT experience are also considered.
- For Ph.D Programmes: A Master’s Degree with a 3.50 CGPA on a 5.00 scale in relevant fields, alongside five O’ level credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Programme Duration
- PGD Programme: 12 Calendar Months
- M.Sc Full-Time Programme: 12 Calendar Months
- M.Sc Weekend Programme: 100 Weekends
- Ph.D Full-Time Programme: Minimum 24 to a maximum of 60 Calendar Months
- Ph.D Part-Time Programme: Minimum 36 to a maximum of 84 Calendar Months

- Application Fee: N20,000 for M.Sc and PGD Programmes; N30,000 for the Ph.D Programme, payable via Bank Draft to CITE.
