The Osun State University has produced 54 first class students in its 2016/2017 Academic session.
This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution Prof. Labode Popoola, in a news conference held on Saturday April 1, at the university’s main campus, Osogbo.
Popoola said that the first class students and 1, 182 others would be awarded first degrees at the university’s convocation on April 6.
The vice chancellor said that 512 students made second class (upper division), 539, second class (lower division) and 129, third class.
He also noted that some projects embarked on by the institution would be inaugurated during the convocation.
Popoola added that the university would honour some prominent scholars during the ceremony.
He said that the university would continue to produce students with academic excellence good character.
