The Ondo State Governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, has promised that his administration would turn the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State to a first-class higher institution. He stated this during his campaign tour for re-election.
According to him, there were many good plans his administration had for the school if re-elected to the office.
Akeredolu also expressed his determination to work more for the growth and development of the university, stressing that only continuity could guarantee the implementation of his plans for the school.
He said, “When we came, we were very passionate about the teaching hospital. Today, we have the teaching hospitals in both Ondo and Akure. UNIMED has been expanded. Its college of Nursing is in Akure and also, its College of Health Technology.”
