UNIMED Launches NextGens, Slashes Fees

Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, Vice-Chancellor of the University, announced that the programme will operate for three years in the first instance, beginning with the current admissions process for the 2022/23 academic year. Students who get admission to UNIMED to study Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Animal and Environmental Health Science, Community Health Science, and Human Nutrition and Dietetics will receive a 45% tuition reduction.

He stated that school fees for students in the listed programmes, whether indigenous or non-indigenous, will be just ₦100,000 each academic session and that the scholarship will be tenable until graduation as long as the student maintains a minimum grade of the second class or lower in each session.

Prof. Fatusi also stated that graduates with first or second-class upper are eligible for a 50% tuition reduction to study the following specialised areas of health sciences: Medical Physics, Environmental Physics, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Health Statistics, and Mathematical Biology.

Our mission is to grow and assist innovative and scientific-inclined young people in order to give a platform and a channel for the growth of science in our country. We also see this as an opportunity to help educate extremely educated and interested applicants who may have limited financial resources to pursue a career in these essential disciplines,’ Fatusi said.
