The University of Ilorin has announced that it is entering a partnership arrangement with an agriculture company, Agric International Technology & Trade (Agrited). The partnership is aimed at driving sustainable developments in the areas of agriculture, job opportunities, quality education, and entrepreneurship for students of the institution.
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Adesiji Benjamin disclosed in Ilorin on Monday. He said the arrangement will enable the company support Agricultural students by offering practical training and job opportunities and also engage students of the Institution’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in fieldwork.
Prof. Adesiji stated that the company also promised to provide automatic employment to two best graduating veterinary students. The Dean also revealed that Agrited has been in existence for a good number of years, with farming operations such as production and distribution of poultry supplies across the nation.
