The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, has disclosed that a total number of 12,225 students were admitted for the 2015/2106 academic session out of the 103,000 candidates that applied to study in the school.
The Vice-Chancellor made this known during the 2015/2016 matriculation ceremony of the institution held last Friday.
According to him, I62,224 candidates registered for the post-UTME, with 30,384 candidates scoring 50 per cent and above; and 12,225 candidates representing 11.9 per cent securing admission.
He however stated that only 11,051 of the admitted candidates, representing 10.7 per cent of the applicants, registered in the university for the session.
He advised the newly admitted students to ensure realization of their goals by obeying the rules and regulations of the University.
