UNILAG and Russian University Sign Academic MoU

The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria, and the State University of Education in Moscow, Russia, have entered a historic partnership aimed at boosting academic exchange and fostering joint educational programs. The official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday, June 26, 2023, marking the start of an anticipated era of academic growth and mutual cooperation.

Sealing the Agreement

The significant event took place in the office of UNILAG’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Professor Bolanle Oboh. Professor Bola Oboh and Dr. Kulikov Dmitry, Rector for Science at the State University of Education, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective universities. The presence of key faculty members from both universities signified the importance of this MoU and the mutual commitment to its successful implementation.

Key Areas of Cooperation

Under this agreement, both universities have committed to promoting mutual development in several areas of activity. These include:

The Memorandum of Understanding will be valid for five years from the date of its signing, and can be extended for an additional five-year period upon mutual agreement between both parties.
