Two students of the Confucius Institute, University of Lagos, Grace Moses Anyaele and Fadairo Opeyemi Yusuf have emerged the best two candidates at the just concluded Hànyu Shuipíng Kaoshì (HSK) Examination.
The HSK Examination translated as Chinese Proficiency Test is the only ChineseLanguage Proficiency test for non-native speakers including foreign students. As a result, the two students have been selected to represent Nigeria at the next Chinese language Bridge Competition slated for Beijing, China in July, 2013.
This latest victory is further evidence that the Institute is well-positioned to promote the teaching and learning of Chinese Language and culture in Nigeria.
Only recently, the Institute was approached by the Lagos State Government to undertake a pilot teaching of Chinese Language in five of its Model Secondary Schools. The Institute is also currently in discussion with Addax Petroleum to teach Chinese Language to its members of staff across Nigeria.
