The University of Lagos has been accused of allegedly forcing 300, 400, and 500-level students of the institution to sign a form that exonerates the school of any blame, should students contract the deadly COVID-19 virus while writing exams.
The form which was made public by a media house states that, the students have indemnified the university “from the consequences, liabilities that may result in their being infected with COVID-19 or infecting others with COVID-19.”
This form is in contradiction to the university's earlier claims that it had put in place “policies to reduce the spread of the COVID-19” virus. Some students shrugged off the claim stating that the university had no obvious policy to contain the virus and everyone is for themselves in the examination.
