The management of the University of Jos (UNJIOS), has warned its students against
using social media to publish anything negative about the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor of the school, Professor Sebastian Maimako, gave the directive o Wednesday during the matriculation ceremony for 7,000 students ahead of the new session.
Maimako stated that students must obtain written permission from him through the registrar, before they go ahead to post such
information.
“In line with the extant rules of the university, no student is permitted to publish anything concerning the university without the written permission of the vice-
chancellor through the registrar,” he said.
He also banned any form of indecent dressing, directing security agencies to arrest any student whose appearance was
deemed inappropriate.
