The University of Jos (UNIJOS) continues the sales of application forms for its Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme and announces the commencement of its Extramural programme. These courses fall under the Non-NUC Funded Programmes of the University and cater to candidates in the Sciences, Social Sciences, and Arts disciplines.
Entry Requirements
Interested candidates for the Sciences must possess five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, including English Language. On the other hand, candidates interested in Social Sciences or Arts must obtain five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in subjects such as Economics, Government, Geography, CRS, IRS, Arabic, Civic Education, English Literature, History, Marketing, etc., including English Language.
Introduction of the Extramural Programme
UNIJOS has introduced an Extramural programme to help candidates who have deficiencies in their SSCE, O’level WAEC/NECO/NABTEB to remedy those deficiencies. Candidates with deficiencies currently running the IJMB programme can also enroll in the Extramural programme. Similarly, candidates who had dropped out of school but are now willing to resume their education can likewise enroll into the Extramural programme.
Method of Application
Application forms are available online through the University website www.unijos.edu.ng, or at the University of Jos Township Campus Bursary Division, Gangare, Murtala Mohammed Way, Jos. The sum of Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Naira only (N7,500) is required for the IJMB Programme and Three Thousand, Five Hundred Naira only (N3,500) for the Extramural Programme.
