This is to remind all stakeholders, especially Final Year, First Degree and Post Graduate students, that the request for issuance of Certificates in the University of Cross River State is strictly based on fulfilling the following requirements:
1. All students are required to pay any outstanding school fees owed to the University. Failure to settle these fees will result in withholding of their Academic Certificates.
2. Students must obtain all necessary clearance, especially from the Bursary and Audit Departments, confirming that all fees have been fully paid. Evidence of this payment and clearance must be submitted along with any request or application for the issuance of a Certificate.
3. Only students who have complied with this directive will have their Certificates processed and signed.
4. Students mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme, should note that the issuance of their Certificate will be required before departure to the Orientation Camp. To ensure this, all Final Year Degree students must immediately pay their outstanding fees and complete their clearance. This will enable the issuance of Certificates prior to leaving for camp.
5. Auditors have been assigned to thoroughly verify all submissions and requests for Certificates. Only submissions with complete and accurate clearance of fees will be considered.
6. Students are strongly advised not to wait until the last minute before mobilization or the need for Certificates. Failure to comply with this directive will not result in rushed issuance. The University will not be pressured to issue Certificates to students at the last minute. As the saying goes, "A stitch in time saves nine."
Post Graduate students in the Final Year should ensure compliance with this directive to ensure prompt processing of their requests for Certificate.
In conclusion, all concerned are enjoined to support this policy and act promptly to ensure smooth processing of Certificates. By complying early, you will avoid unnecessary delays.
