Report has it that the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Calabar, Calabar (Unical), Prof. Zana Akapgu has been awarded “Best Performing” VC in Nigeria in the last one year by a London based news platform, ‘The Nigerian’ and the ‘Nigeria Print Journalism Magazine’.
It was gathered that the Vice Chancellor was selected after a critical evaluation of his achievements since he assumed office.
The VC is to be conferred with the award of the “Best Education Leadership Icon” on August 25th in London, United Kingdom.
The award was in recognition of the VC’s “immense contributions to educational development and nation building through transparent and inclusive leadership at the University of Calabar”.
