In her continuous efforts at rejigging critical units in the University, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar( UNICAL), Prof. Florence Obi has appointed Dr. Essien Essien of the Department of Education Social Science as Coordinator, Sandwich Programme. In the same vein, the Vice Chancellor also appointed Dr. Pius Abang of the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, as Deputy Director ( Academic), Open Distance learning Programme(ODL).
The latest appointments conveyed in a letter signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe are for a period of two (2) years for the first instance, and takes effect from 1st November 2023. According to the letter, the appointees are expected to bring their wealth of knowledge to bear in the discharge of their duties to ensure optimal productivity.
