UNICAL suspends SUG deputy senate president over assault

The University of Calabar Students' Union Government Deputy Senate President, Queen Manuywhor has been suspended by the institution for allegedly molesting a student.

Queen was accused of bullying a fellow student by asking her to kneel down and ordering a man o' war security personnel to slap her continuously. Other aggrieved students in the institution also described Queen as being proud and full of herself, because she was allegedly having an affair with the SUG President.

Following her suspension, the 200 level student of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences who hails from Rivers state, was reportedly instructed to stop attending lectures, taking part in any test and examination, participating in any activities that concern her academics, as well as staying away from the university's hostel, Hall 6 to be precise.

When questioned, Queen defended her action stating that the girl disrespected her and she was punished for it.
