The Management of the University of Calabar has given Wednesday, Dec, 22, 2021 as date for the commencement of the annual Christmas break for both staff and students.
A statement signed by the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe indicates that work and lectures will however resume on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.
To this end, the statement adds, that all staff on essential duties are expected to stay back and continue performing such duties while the Ag Chief Security Officer is also requested to ensure maximum security coverage of the university during the period.
It is also the wish of the Vice-Chancellor that staff and students have a happy holiday, experience a merry Christmas, and return to a more prosperous new year, 2022.
