Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA)
- Diploma in Public Administration (DPA)
- Admission Prerequisites: Candidates seeking admission into this programme must hold a minimum of four credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or TC II, inclusive of Government, Economics or Commerce, C.R.K, Literature, Accounting or Mathematics, and at least a Pass in English Language, secured in no more than two sittings.
- Diploma in Local Government (DLG)
- Admission Prerequisite: To be considered for admission, candidates must possess a minimum of four credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or TC II, in subjects such as Government, Economics or Commerce, C.R.K, Literature, Accounting or Mathematics, and at least a Pass in English Language, obtained in a maximum of two sittings.
- Diploma in Personnel Management (DPM)
- Admission Requirements: A minimum of four credits in GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or TC II is mandatory, with at least a Pass in English Language in not more than two sittings.
- Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management
- Admission Requirements: Admission into this programme requires a minimum of four credits in relevant subjects, including English Language in GCE O/L, SSCE, or NECO in not more than two sittings. Proficiency in French is advantageous.
- Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)
- Admission Requirements: A minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects including English, Mathematics, and Economics in GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE/NECO at not more than two sittings is essential.

- Diploma in Environmental Education (DEE)
- Admission Requirement: Applicants must possess GCE O/L, WAEC/SSCE/NECO or equivalent with four credits in four relevant teaching subjects and at least a credit level Pass in English Language in at most two sittings.
- Diploma in Educational Technology (DET)
- Admission Requirement: Candidates with GCE O/L, WAEC/SSCE/NECO or equivalent must have at least four credits in relevant teaching subjects, including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting.
- Diploma in Pre-Primary and Basic Education (DPBE)
- Admission Requirements: Candidates with GCE O’L/WAEC/SSCE/NECO or equivalent must have at least four credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting.
- Diploma in Library and Information Science (DLIS)
- Admission Requirements: The minimum requirement for admission into this programme is four O/level credits or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
Bassey Andah Institute for Asian and African Studies (BAIFASS)
- Diploma in Theatre and Media Studies (DTMS)
- Admission Requirements: Candidates interested in this programme must have a minimum of four credits which must include English Language and Mathematics and any other two Arts or Social Science subjects in no more than two sittings in GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE or NECO.
- Diploma in African and Asian Studies (DAAS)
- Admission Requirements: Candidates should possess a minimum of four credit passes in WASSE/NECO/GCE in subjects including English Language, English Literature, Economics, History/Government, and Christian Religious Studies and Mathematics.
Institute of Oceanography
- Diploma in Marine Science
- Admission Requirement: Applicants must have at least five credits in relevant subjects in GCE O’L/WASC/SSCE at not more than two sittings but which must include English Language and Mathematics.
How to Apply for UNICAL Diploma Admission Form
First Method: Online Purchase
Candidates can procure the C.E.S/PRE-DEGREE form with an ATM card by visiting UNICAL CES Webpay and completing the form with the TRANSACTION ID.
Second Method: Bank Purchase
- Walk into any commercial bank nationwide.
- Request to make payment for University of Calabar C.E.S application form 2023/2024 on E-Tranzact Platform.
- Pay ₦15,000 and obtain a payment slip containing a unique PIN and confirmation order number.
- Log in with the generated pin for the C.E.S application at UNICAL CES Portal.
Registration on the Portal
After obtaining the e-Pin, candidates should log on to UNICAL CES Portal and select “CES Online Application” from the C.E.S menu tab on the home page. The subsequent page will require candidates to enter their phone number and confirmation order number or transaction ID PIN against the fields provided and click login. Follow the on-screen instruction after gaining access to complete the form and print it after submission.
