UNIBEN student declared missing after going to cook for someone who paid her

Olive Ize-Iyamu, an undergraduate of the University of Benin, Department of Microbiology has been declared missing by her family after she reportedly left the house to go and cook for someone who paid her.

According to Constant Ebonugwu, the sister of the missing student who shared the story, she last spoke with Olive on the 17th of May, thinking she was in school. She tried contacting Olive afterward to no avail and then decided to reach out to some of her schoolmates, who then confirmed that Olive had not been in school for about two weeks.

Constant said she later received a message from one of their cousins, Nosa, asking if she had heard from Olive. She said Nosa who resides in Ajah, Lagos told her that they need to look for Olive as he has not heard from her for over 9 days. Nosa revealed that Olive visited him from school, and had been staying at his place. He revealed that she dressed up on that particular day and said she was going to see someone, that she got an order to cook for the person, and money was paid into her account for that purpose. According to Nosa, he never heard from Olive afterward.

Constant said she has since reported the case to the police, but was told that they do not have ''network'' to track her whereabouts. She has appealed to the general public with useful information to contact the nearest police station or this number 08033212311.
