How To Apply For UNIBEN Post UTME/DE Admission Form
Please note that before you start your application, you have have an active email address. This is needed for receiving information from UNIBEN as regards the progress of your application form.
STEP 1 – Visit UNIBEN’s Website: To begin a fresh application, you will visit UNIBEN’s website on www.uniben.edu and click on Student Portal.
STEP 2 – After visiting UNIBEN’s website and clicking on student portal, Select the WAEUP PORTAL.
STEP 3 – Click on Applicants and select the screening for the current academic session. For example, since you are applying for UNIBEN’s post UTME screening form for 2024/2025 session, you will be required to click on UNIBEN ADMISSION SCREENING 2024/2025.
STEP 4 – Upon completing steps 1 to 3, click on Register for application as seen at the top left of the displayed screen to continue your application.
STEP 5 – Input your full name exactly as written on your JAMB Registration slip and also input your JAMB Registration number after which your ID and Password will be displayed on the page. You are advised to make use of Google Chrome browser during your online registration.
STEP 6 – Go back to uniben.waeup.org click on the ‘Login’ button as seen on the top right of the displayed page then enter your registered username and password to login.
STEP 7 – Completing ‘STEPS 1 – 6’ simply means you can go ahead with the application process, by clicking on the ‘Application record’ button and a page would be displayed for you to provide all required information and upload your coloured passport photograph.
STEP 8 – Candidates are to upload a Recent and clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only. Please see specifications of the required passport photographs below;
- All passports must be with RED background.
- Apparels like glasses, caps, etc in whatever form must not be used.
- The face on the passport must be devoid of shadow or shadowy background.
- Any passport suspected to have been blended or worked on to cause deceit will result in the automatic disqualification of such candidate.
- Hairdos must not cover the face of the candidate.
- For the use of hijab, the face must be well exposed to ensure clarity and ease recognition.
- Candidates are advised not to edit out facial / tribal marks so as not to distort resemblance to the physical appearance
- Any candidate who flouts any of these instructions would have invariably disqualified themselves.

According to the management of the University of Benin, the photograph uploaded in the UNIBEN portal during your post UTME/DE online registration is the only valid means of identification for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in UNIBEN hence any candidate who fails to upload the specified passport photograph as seen above automatically forfeits his or her of admission.
STEP 9 – Upon uploading your passport, you are to pay for the UNIBEN post UTME application form online. How do you do this? To pay for the post UTME screening application form online, click on “Add online payment ticket” it is displayed at the bottom of the page.
Next step is to click on “Pay with Remita”, this is displayed at the top left corner of the page. At this stage, follow the command prompt in order to successfully to pay the application fee of N 2,000:00; with a valid ATM-Enabled Card. The procedure is self explanatory.
Lastly, click on Preview to crosscheck all you have inputted to avoid mistakes that could jeopardize application status. Upon confirming that all details imputed are true and correctly done, you can then click on the SUBMIT button.

PRINTING OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SLIP
The date for printing of your acknowledgement slip will be made known to all successful applicants via your registered email. The slip contains your specific screening schedule for your post UTME screening exercise.
