The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja has said that the university has concluded arrangements to open a Distance Learning Study Centre in Katsina.
He revealed this during a courtesy visit to Governor Aminu Bello Masari.
According to him, the Centre would serve the whole of North-West, adding that it was informed by the need to widen access to education.
He urged the Katsina state government to support the institution with office and facilities for the smooth take-off.
In response, Governor Masari lauded the initiative to open the Centre in the state insisting that the state needed well trained and committed teachers to turn the fortune of education for the better.
