The management of the University of Abuja is pleased to announce that the local chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has officially called off its strike. Consequently, the University will resume full academic activities starting on Monday 29th July 2024.
We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging period. We recognise the impact that the strike has had on your academic progress and are committed to ensuring a smooth and effective transition back to regular academic activities.
To this end, all students are required to return to the University campus by this weekend to prepare for the resumption of lectures. Full-time lectures will commence promptly on Monday. Faculty members have been directed to resume full teaching responsibilities and to provide any necessary support to students during their stay.
The University administration is dedicated to maintaining a conducive learning environment and will provide all necessary resources to facilitate the continuation of your academic pursuits.
We encourage students to take advantage of the support services available, including academic advising, counseling, and other student services.
Once again, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you back to the University and wish you all the best in your studies.
