ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Admission to these programmes is governed by the following criteria:
1. MBBS-PhD
- Education: Five (5) credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language & Mathematics (O’ Level-WASC/NECO/GCE) in not more than two sittings. MBBS degree.
- Performance: Good scores at O’ Level-WASC/NECO/GCE or equivalent pass entry qualification examination, with a minimum weighted average of 65% at the 1st professional (2nd MB) examinations.
- Advantage: A BSc. in relevant subject adds value to the application.
2. PhD from Fellowship
- Education: Similar to the MBBS-PhD programme.
- Fellowship: Either Colleges (NPMCN or WACP/WACS).
3. PhD from MSc
- Education: Similar to the MBBS-PhD programme.
- Grade Requirement: Overall grade of “B” (60% and above in relevant MSc degree).
4. MSc
- Education: Similar to the MBBS-PhD programme.
- Undergraduate Degree: BSc in relevant subject/field.
5. PGD Complementary and Alternative Medicine
- Education: Similar to the MBBS-PhD programme.
- Undergraduate Degree: MBBS or BSc in relevant fields (Pharmacy, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy).
DURATION
The programmes span varying durations:
- MBBS-PhD: Six (6) semesters (three sessions post MBBS degree).
- PhD from Fellowship: Four (4) semesters (two sessions).
- PhD from MSc: Six (6) semesters (three sessions).
- MSc: Four (4) semesters (two sessions).
