The University of Ibadan Director of Public Communication, Tunji Oladejo, has disclosed that the first semester lectures for the 2020/2021 session for students of the institution will be held online due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Oladejo made this known via a statement issued on Thursday, February 4, in Ibadan. He said the university's Senate, which is the highest decision-making organ in the institution, approved the commencement of online lectures for the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic session.
He added that the opening of the registration portal and the orientation program for the 2020/2021 session will commence on or before Saturday, 20 February 2021 for new students.
The statement also directs new students and the general public to disregard information regarding the opening of students' registration portal for allocation of accommodation. Oladejo said no student will be allowed access to accommodation on the campus, as academic activities will be held online.
