The University of Ibadan (UI) has been crowned as the most transparent university on the offering of admission in Nigeria by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). This was revealed by the registrar of the board, Prof Ishaq Oloyede.
According to Oloyede, UI has never compromised its stance on admission criteria in terms of merit list, catchment areas, and other considerations for any candidate. He averred that students that have the right subject combination and meets the university cut-off marks are always certain to be admitted.
He further called on candidates who believe to have met up with admission criteria in their institution of choice, but was not offered admission and have proof to that effect, to report such to JAMB for intervention.
The registrar also warned that the board was ready to de-register any CBT center found culpable of illegal dealing, disclosing that a total of 410,517 candidates were so far registered as of 1.00 pm on Wednesday for the exam while 12, 040 for direct entry across a total of 785 CBT centers nationwide.
